LAWRENCE, NEW YORK (FEBRUARY 2024)—Lawrence prekindergarten students recently marked a significant milestone in their educational journey: Their 100th day of school! To mark the occasion, a celebration was held that highlighted the children’s incredible growth over the very first months as Lawrence students.
“The 100th day of school is a significant milestone for our prekindergarten students; we wanted to make it a memorable experience for them,” said Patricia Almonaitis, Lawrence Prekindergarten Director. “By engaging in various activities centered around numbers and fitness, children were able to celebrate their accomplishments and teachers were able to reinforce important skills and values.”
To commemorate this special milestone, the students participated in a range of engaging activities that highlighted the importance of numbers and physical fitness. One of the activities involved counting 100 objects, which reinforced their counting skills and memory. In addition, the young learners completed 100 exercises, showcasing their physical ability and promoting the importance of an active lifestyle.
