Dear Lawrence Families,
As we get ready for our mid-winter recess, I, along with ourBoard of Education, would like to take this opportunity to thank our students, staff, faculty, and District families for making our 2021-2022 school year an exciting, event-filled and successful year thus far.
We thank you for your continued support of education in our community and hopefully, this upcoming week can be a time to recharge, enjoy fresh air, and spend some quality time with family and friends. Whatever your plans may be for this winter recess, we ask that you please stay safe.
In our community and across Long Island, our mitigation efforts have been driving down the Covid-19 infection rates. Let’s remain vigilant and continue to keep those numbers on the downward trend. Together, we have risen above the many challenges presented by Covid, and now, with your continued support, we can all hopefully look forward to returning to a greater sense of normalcy in the months ahead.
Once again, I hope you have a restful break and come back feeling refreshed and recharged.
I am so grateful to our community for your support, dedication, and active engagement in our schools and our students’education.
Dr. Pedersen
