LAWRENCE, NEW YORK (NOVEMBER 2022) —On Friday, November 11, Lawrence High School students attended the Veterans Day Memorial at Cedarhurst Village Hall. Students shared their thank-you messages with the veterans and small gifts of appreciation were handed out by the Five Towns Community Center (FTCC) afterschool children. The Veterans Day Memorial ended with musical performances honoring the veterans by (are these Lawrence HS students – if yes, identify them as such) Alexis Acosta, Alexandra Acosta, Stephanie Lopez, and Billy Godoy.
“Veterans Day is an important holiday that we recognize each year to honor our heroes who have served in service to our country and in defense of the freedoms we hold so dear. It is inspiring to see our students take personal time, on a day that they were off from school, to honor and spend time with our veterans,” noted Dr. Lagnado Papp, Principal of Lawrence High School.
