LAWRENCE, NEW YORK (JANUARY 2023)—This year marks the Year of the Rabbit based on the lunar calendar. Lawrence pre-kindergarten students immersed themselves in various educational and interactive cultural classroom lessons and activities to celebrate the 2023 Lunar New Year.

The young students enjoyed creating their own dragons, rabbits, and paper lanterns. The students had a great time learning about the culture and traditions surrounding the holiday by playing in the dramatic play area that was themed around Chinese culture. The young learners also practiced their chopstick skills by tasting traditional snacks and dumplings.
