The District is horrified to report that a swastika was found scribbled in one of our buildings hallways. This is a hate crime. Lawrence has zero tolerance for hate. We have contacted the 4th Precinct to report this terrible discovery.
The pain caused by this is so contrary to our mission statement and the kindnesses I see reflected by the members of this beautiful community.
It is terrible to report such an incident, but necessary to engage in conversation that dismantles hate.
Your support is always appreciated.
Dr. Pedersen
