LAWRENCE, NEW YORK (JANUARY 2025)—Lawrence Early Childhood students recently took part in a heartwarming and fun-filled event called Donuts with Grownups, where they spent quality time with a special adult in their lives and decorated delicious donuts. The kosher donuts were generously donated by their local Dunkin’ Donuts on Rockaway Turnpike (299 Burnside Avenue). This delightful event provided a wonderful opportunity for students and their grown-up guests to bond, create, and share joyful moments in a hands-on, creative environment.
The event allowed participants to customize their donuts with a variety of colorful toppings, including sprinkles, icing, and chocolate chips, resulting in personalized treats that were as fun to make as they were to eat. The lively atmosphere was filled with laughter and excitement, as families came together to celebrate the simple joys of spending time with one another.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to the Lawrence PTA for their unwavering dedication and efforts in organizing the event, as well as to the Lawrence Food Services coordinator for providing the muffins, fruits, and coffee. The event also wouldn't have been possible without the teachers and support staff who arrived early to ensure everything ran smoothly and efficiently, creating a welcoming and organized environment for all.
