With great sadness we announce the passing of Mr.Cleveland Woods. , a Lawrence teacher for over twenty years who has bettered the lives of all who knew him. Mr. Woods was a champion among humans every day. Our prayers and support go to his wife and children.

Number 4 School Families, Tonight from 5-7 PM, the National Honor Society is hosting their annual “Safe Trick or Treat” at Lawrence High School. The admission is $5 per person. Please keep in mind, no child will be admitted into the school without a parent. Come out dressed in your costumes for a fun night with family and friends at Lawrence High School’s “Safe Trick or Treat”. See you there! . . Happy Fall, Kindergarten Families! This Friday we will have our Fall Festival with our learners during school! Please send your child into school wearing RED, YELLOW and/or ORANGE on Friday! All students will explore throughout different fall-themed educational activities that teachers have created, and students will pick a pumpkin in our pumpkin patch! All students will come home with a pumpkin on Friday! Students will leave their Chromebooks in school on Friday for easy transport of their small pumpkin!

Lawrence Homecoming Parade unites students, faculty, staff, families and our entire community today in an annual celebration of Lawrence pride. The Lawrence Homecoming Parade was led by the talented Lawrence Marching Band. The parade was complete with all of the amazing, exciting, spirit-pumping LAWRENCE PRIDE! What a beautiful day.

Dear ECC Families: Please bring your Lawrence spirit and join us as we march for Lawrence High School Homecoming this Saturday, October 23rd. We will meet at the Cedarhurst train station from 12:30 pm to 12:50 pm. At 12:50pm we will line up. The parade will start at 1:10 pm and should be at the high school at approximately 1:40 pm. We look forward to seeing our learners and families there. All are welcome! . . Our creative Art Teacher, Mr. Lichtenstein, brings the celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month into his Art Room! Students enjoyed the read aloud called Silly Billy by Anthony Browne. The story is about a little boy who has some worries. The little boy visits his grandma who shows him how to overcome his fears with the aid of his imagination - and some tiny worry dolls! Our ECC learners are working on creating their own "worry dolls!"

Mrs. Simon's class celebrates the beginning of the Fall season as they read “Leaf Man,” by Lois Ehlert. This book describes the journey of the "Leaf Man" through the countryside on a breezy Fall day. Leaf Man is made of all different kinds of fall leaves that have fallen from the trees and his journey takes him from place to place making new friends along the way. After the engaging read aloud, Mrs. Simon and her learners went outside for a leaf hunt! Happy Fall from Room 22!

Lawrence Kindergarten: Today was Bus Safety Day at ECC! We reviewed the "promises" of riding on the bus and were able to practice safe procedures on a big bus with our teachers! Please review the attached letter which is posted our website and in your child's Google Classroom with your child. Safety is always our number one priority for all of our learners! Thank you!

Each year from September 15th to October 15th, we as a country celebrate National Hispanic Heritage During this month. Lawrence Early Childhood Center takes time to celebrate the history, cultures, language, and contributions of Hispanic individuals to our country. This is also an opportunity for us as a school district to affirm and demonstrate our commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equity for all of our students, staff, and community as we are a cultural mosaic here in Lawrence.
