LAWRENCE, NEW YORK (FEBRUARY 2025)—Lawrence Middle School’s Peer Advisory Club, under the guidance of advisor Maria Karvelas, is proud to present its inspiring project Brick by Brick We Achieve Our Dreams. This initiative was inspired by the powerful words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s I Have a Dream” speech, which reflects the students’ vision for their future and the world they hope to build.

The Peer Advisory Club, comprising compassionate and forward-thinking students, embarked on a journey to share their dreams and aspirations. They sought to connect their goals with the timeless message of unity, justice, and opportunity championed by Dr. King. Through this project, students contributed their hopes for the future, each symbolized by a brick that represents one step closer to achieving their dreams.

The project is currently on display at the Lawrence Middle School main office, where students’ contributions are showcased for the entire school community to appreciate. The display represents the power of individual dreams coming together to build something greater—a better future for all. The Peer Advisory Club’s work has become a beacon of positivity and inspiration within the school, encouraging students to dream boldly, support one another, and act toward achieving their goals.
