Spring forward to your WIDLY IMPORTANT GOALS

We return to school from spring break on Wednesday, May 1st . There is still plenty of time in the school year to achieve your wildly important goals! I look forward to seeing everyone back on Wednesday for the final 39 school days of this year.

Family Friday! We enjoyed having our families in to participate in our different center activities. It was a great way to end Week of the Young Child.

Lawrence Families, Please see our most recent newsletter that showcases improvements made to our learning environments here in the District. We are so proud of the children as they embrace their learning and proud to improve the environment for them. -Dr. Pedersen https://www.smore.com/n/42jtm-facilities-update

Artsy Thursday! We painted using anything but paintbrushes. We painted with sponges, rubber balls, forks and bottle caps!

We are excited to announce that Lawrence Union Free School District has been chosen as one of the 975 school districts nationwide to receive acknowledgement towards their efforts in having Music Education be a large part of the learning opportunities given to our students. Lawrence has been truly dedicated to making music an impact on its students, giving them creativity, critical thinking and so much more! We continue to strive and bring joy to our Lawrence students throughout their educational journey here with us!

Work Together Wednesday! Today we worked together to make the parachute go up and down. We also had to keep the balls from flying off the parachute. Lots of fun and laughter as Week of the Young Child continues.

Week of the Young Child continues and on "Tasty" Tuesday, we created healthy faces using different vegetables supplied to us by Food Services. Children used carrots, cucumbers, and celery to make happy faces.

This week we celebrate Week of the Young Child. Today for Music Monday, we watched Lawrence Middle School sing songs from their show, Shrek Jr! We also made instruments and played different instruments in our classrooms.

Good evening Lawrence families. Given the storm warnings, schools will be closed tomorrow.

Please be safe.

Today we celebrated 100 days of school! It’s been an incredible journey of growth, learning, and fun for our little learners, and we couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishments. To mark this special occasion, we had planned some exciting activities. Today we counted 100 objects and completed 100 exercises!
Here’s to 100 days of learning, laughter, and love!

Happy World Read Aloud Day! World Read Aloud Day was created by the non-profit LitWorld and sponsored by Scholastic, is celebrated annually in over 173 countries and is all about bringing people together through the shared connection of reading aloud in all of our communities. Today students listened to a read aloud read live by the author! They were also able to choose some books to take home and keep. Read a book with your child daily and enjoy the endless adventures each story takes you on!

Today we celebrated Peaceful Letter Day. We read the book Alphabet Mystery by Audrey Wood. We went on a quest to find letter "x" and found other letters along the way. After solving riddles and finding all of the letters including X we built our own letters using craft sticks.
